Ivana Tomic

Cyber Security and Telecommunications Expert

Dr Ivana Tomić a Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security (equivalent to an Associate Professor US) and a member of the Centre for Sustainable Cyber Security (CS2) at the University of Greenwich. Her research interests span the areas of cyber security, control engineering, and wireless communication networks, with a focus on building trusted, secure, and resilient Internet of Things and Cyber Physical Systems. She has published her research in top-tier journals, including ACM TCPS, IEEE TII and IEEE IoT. She is the Editor at Simulation Modeling Practice and Theory Journal, Elsevier. Before joining the University of Greenwich, she was a Research Associate in the Computing Department at Imperial College London (AESE research group). During her time at Imperial College, she worked as a security researcher on the S4: Science of Sensor Systems Software EPSRC programme grant and the IoT in the Park project as a part of the EPSRC PETRAS IoT research hub. Also, she was a Co-I on Fog to the Field project championed by Cisco. Dr Tomić received a PhD in Control Engineering from City, University of London in 2016
